The Language Institute of Thammasat University (LITU) hosted visitors from the Regional English Language Office (RELO) of the U.S. Embassy on February 7, 2024. Led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Supakorn Phoocharoensil, Director of LITU welcomed Mr. Eran M. Williams, Director of RELO, and his team to discuss potential academic collaborations.

During the meeting, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Supakorn Phoocharoensil introduced LITU’s expertise and services to the visitors. Both sides then engaged in lively discussions exploring potential collaborations in several areas, including organizing seminars in English Language Teaching (ELT) and advancing research in the field, and creating a network for English teachers. They were especially interested in developing English teaching skills for teachers in Thailand. They also talked about policies to support English language teaching in the country.
