On November 26, 2024, a delegation from the Language Institute of Thammasat University (LITU), led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Supakorn Phoocharoensil, LITU Director, visited Walailak University. The team, consisting of administrators and staff, was warmly welcomed by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Surin Maisrikrod, Vice-President for Foreign Affairs and Learning and Teaching Development, at the Kao Luang conference room in the Cooperative Education Building.
The visit provided an opportunity for both institutions to share ideas and exchange academic insights. Walailak University representatives gave engaging presentations on their key initiatives, starting with a talk by Asst. Prof. Junifer Leal Bucol on strategies to enhance students’ English proficiency and immerse them in English communication. Dr. Jindarha Prampramote discussed the university’s contributions to community development through academic public services aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Meanwhile, Mr. Ekkarat Kaeokhiao highlighted the cooperative education program, which equips students with practical experience to prepare them for their future careers.
During the visit, the LITU team also toured the university’s facilities, including the scenic Walailak University Botanical Garden. This academic trip offered a valuable platform for exchanging ideas and learning from each institution’s practices, and fostering collaboration.
